More than 70 dispensaries in Michigan were forced to close their doors yesterday after not being granted a license to operate.

The deadline to get licensed was December 31st, but dispensary owners were supposed to apply in February of 2018. The owners of the closed dispensaries have been complaining about the application and approval process.

The list of closed dispensaries was posted on Facebook by multiple people yesterday. You can see the list of closings below.

There are six dispensaries located in Genesee County on the list, and the closures have left patients in a rough spot.  There was little notice given to patients and or providers so quite a few people actually drove to their normal location only to find the doors closed.

There are still a few licensed dispensaries open right now in Michigan. Click on the map below to see an up to date, interactive map of all of the operating dispensaries in Michigan.
