Michigan State Police Cracking Down on Impaired Driving

Just don't drink and drive but also be careful the rest of the October cause Michigan State Police are looking for more impaired and drunk drivers now. So after football games and especially on Halloween be careful when driving cause the Michigan State Police will be out looking for dangerous drivers or impaired ones.

The reason for the Michigan State Police to be extra cautious this month is because October is an extra dangerous month. According to Fox47,  between 2011 and 2016, the month of October saw the 3rd alcohol related crashed and it was also the 4th highest month for drug related crashes. There was also and increase from 2016 to 2017 in death related to alcohol-involved traffic crashes. Police will be extra aware not only in October but in the following months with other holidays coming up.

So please DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE! If you are caught driving impaired it can result in a heavy fine as well as possible jail time so its not worth it. Also there is Uber and Lyft all over Lansing to help you get back home or to your next destination.
