Last Surviving 9/11 Search and Rescue Dog Gets Hero’s Salute On Final Walk Into Vet

Bretagne ("Brittany") would have been 17 in August, according to eBaumsWorld.  She made a final walk into the vet in Cy Fair, Texas, where she had to be put down.

Members of the Cy Fair Fire Department lined the walkway seen in a video posted to YouTube on Monday, offering the K-9 hero a true "hero's salute."
