You Won’t Believe What East Lansing May Allow Soon For Residents
We love our pets in the mitten and most of us have dogs and cats as part of our family. We all have heard of course of the rare person who is found with a pet python or bobcat.
Last year I drove through Nashville and stayed at a friend's house and he had just surprised his wife with a chicken coop and 6 chickens. Found out later it only lasted a few more weeks because the neighbors complained and they were forced to find them a new home.
Have you ever considered getting a Goat or Duck as a pet?
These Are Some Unusual Pets
Well check this out, the East Lansing City Council is thinking about letting residents keep goats and ducks according to fox47news.com.
Right now in East Lansing, you can have up to four cats or dogs, and up to four chickens with a permit.
Planning and Zoning Administrator Peter Menser said, if an ordinance to allow goats and ducks were to move forward, a public hearing would happen to gather community input.
East Lansing Mayor Ron Bacon said, he is skeptical of just with the way our spacing and generally our neighborhoods are laid out, and some of the tight quarters and the other conversations that we have around neighbor relations even. I don't want to create a new situation that's creating any undue interaction amongst neighbors or unfriendly interactions or that kind of thing.
May Get A Bit Noisy
Not sure some neighbors will like the idea because goats can be loud and some breeds are really noisy. I know chickens are not exactly the quietest animals to have around either. Will keep you posted.
What crazy animal would you like to adopt?
