Spooky Stay in Hell, Michigan Available on Airbnb This Halloween [PHOTOS]
The pandemic may be limiting options for Halloween this year... but not in Hell, Michigan!
The self-proclaimed Mayor, John Colone, is handing over the keys to the Gates of Hell letting guests claim his throne for the night by listing Hell on Airbnb.
Starting on October 14 at noon, Michiganders can request to book their turn as Hell’s Mayor during one of three overnight stays: October 18, 21, and 24. The price is scary low too! Each night is just $31! (plus taxes and fees)
Guests will spend the night in the Mayor’s Lair, which is outfitted with a luxurious queen (of the damned) bed and a gothic sitting area where guests can enjoy a steaming hot cup of coffee from Hell. There's also a cozy fire pit, an outdoor movie screen perfect for scary movies, and plenty of local pumpkins for carving.
As lord of the underworld, you're also invited to explore everything the town has to offer. Grab a bit to eat at the Hell Hole Diner, play a round of Hellish mini-golf, and take a spooky stroll through the nearby scenic hiking trails!
“I am the biggest Halloween fan in the world (and the underworld), so I hope that our little slice of paradise can fill fellow Halloween lovers with all of the frightful chills and spooky sensations of the season,” says Colone. “And to our guests and soon-to-be Mayors, I trust you’ll find that there is no place more welcoming than Hell on Earth—we can’t wait to show you a helluva good time!”
In addition to a helluva good time, you can also be sure that all COVID-19 guidelines will be followed.
Airbnb has also pledged to make a donation to a special place close to Hell: North Star Reach, a barrier-free, fully accessible, no-cost camp that provides life-changing experiences for kids across the Great Lakes region with significant health challenges.
So what do you say, wanna go to Hell?
