The head football coach of Michigan State starts his second year in East Lansing. The first year was marginal at best, but the Pandemic will take the blame.

The Spartans had to be quarantined in the summer to start, so I have no idea how this team will be. A lot of new players from the portal and new incoming freshmen too. I have no idea how this Pandemic will still play havoc with Tucker’s team.

Sometimes they looked pretty good, but mostly flat. MSU will have a new starting quarterback. Will it be Peyton Thorne or the transfer from Temple?

MSU has given Tucker a lot of money to succeed, and he was given a vote of confidence from Nick Saban too. This guy can’t fail!

Mel Tucker seems to have it together saying all the right things. But this lip service has to pay dividends on the gridiron with wins. All I can say is Mel Tucker was brought in to win football games.

So far I have never met or spoken to the guy. It’s like he's hiding from any exposure for his football team. I have never had him on my show at all and have tried to.

So, Coach Tucker, good luck to you and your team this season. We only hope for the best. Maybe down the road we can meet?
