Is there a woman in your life that does so much you want to go the extra mile to show your appreciation for?

Well Jackson's "Women's Week" and American 1 Women’s Expo is coming up in March and can help you do just that.

According to MLive, Jackson Mayor Derek Dobies and other leaders in the community will be giving a community proclamation to kick off Women's Week the morning of March 8th, 2021.

As a part of the Women's Week festivities, MLive reports there will be a free "educational series" offered with "daily Zoom presentations, panels and forums hosted by area leaders examining topics relevant and significant to women." Those will take place March 8th through the 12th though officials say there is no time set yet.

What makes it all better is that Women's Week is just the tip of the iceberg as the American 1 Women's Expo continues into March 29th!

It honestly makes my heart so happy to see my hometown dedicating basically an entire month to celebrating the many women who make Jackson such a special place.

MLive says The Women's Expo will be featuring a luncheon, award winners as well as recognizing women in business, health care, education, public service and nonprofits daily on the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce's website, social media platforms and daily email blasts.

The best part is you can even submit women who make a difference to be honored and featured on the "Women's Week Wall of Fame" which you can click HERE to email your submission with the name, occupation and description of who you are wanting to feature and why!

As a woman working in what has been known as a male-dominated field, this is an incredible resource and I am always game for an event based on "ladies supporting ladies."

These are conversations we should be having in order to become a more open-minded and inclusive society and there is such a variety of topics MLive says will be covered from "how to make the workplace better for women" to "how women can use their emotional intelligence to their advantage."

There's really only one question left to ask, WHO'S READY FOR WOMEN'S WEEK!?
