Fugitive Eddie Rockwell Jr. Now In Custody After Standoff In Mason
Eddie Rockwell Jr. is now in custody after a standoff in Mason this morning. It happened around 4 AM.
Considered armed and dangerous, police have been looking for him since Sunday.
According to police reports, Rockwell was spotted near the intersection of Columbia and Edgar roads late Monday.
Police said in a Facebook post just before midnight Monday that Rockwell was confined in a grain barn near Columbia and Edgar roads and was completely surrounded by police.
Officers on the scene called in a negotiator to help get Rockwell to surrender peacefully.
The Ingham County Sheriff's Office says Rockwell was arrested about six hours after he was spotted Monday night.
The Ingham County Sheriff's Office says more information regarding Rockwell's capture will be released later Tuesday. (Source: WILX)
