East Lansing Road Closures This Weekend

You might want to give yourself some extra time or avoid certain areas of East Lansing this weekend due to construction. According to WILX, starting at 8 p.m. tonight (June 21st) westbound Michigan Avenue at Harrison Road will be closed for storm water and wastewater system work. Even though, this area is closed the Eastbound area of Michigan Ave will be open and you will be able to use the median crossover on Michigan Avenue to continue southbound.

This construction project is all part of the Infrastructure Restructure project, which has been going on for the last few months. This part of the project is the shortest of all the parts of it and it will wrap up on Sunday, but you can read more about it here. Also another note to make your trip through East Lansing easier, there is free parking at some lots and garages in East Lansing, you can see where here.
