How does the old line go? Something like "You don't gotta go home but you can't stay here"?

Yeah that's something like it. I say "something like it" because sometimes it's said by the bartender when he is closing the bar down, but if someone who is a patron is closing a bar down, "You don't gotta go home bur you can't stay here" could sound like almost anything, right?

And that not only means that it's either time to have your designated driver or Uber take you wherever it is that is not there, right? Yeah, when you're in the situation where you may have had one too many, letting someone else do the driving is a good thing even if it's not closing time. That's any time.

As we all know, or most of us, or some of us know...bar time in Michigan is 2:00 a.m. but according to News 10, customers at the bar could have another 2 hours to hang in some parts of Michigan as House Bill 4213 was approved and that means that bars can stay open until 4 in the morning but...local governments have to sign off on the increase in hours for their local drinking establishments.

Other than the local approval necessary for the bars, they may have to jump through a couple extra hoops depending on their current operational status. But a lot of the reasoning behind this bill is because the extension in hours may help businesses have a better chance of trying to succeed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
