2020 Summer Reading Program & More With CADL
Summer is here (unofficially for now...but it's coming) and the state is slowly working towards reopening. As of publication of this article (05/28/20) CADL says they are looking at late June for a launch date to reopen some services.
While we're waiting for that to happen, we wanted to let you know there are still some great programs that will be taking place for you and the kiddos from the library.
Imagine Your Story Summer Reading 2020
It's a free Summer Reading Challenge, running from May 22-Aug. 8, with separate tracks for Babies & Toddlers (ages up to 3), Kids (ages 0-13), Teens (ages 10-18) and Adults (age 18 & up). (CADL)
HOW IT WORKS
- Sign up here at Beanstack. If you don’t already have a Beanstack account you will need to create one now. This is where you will log yours or your child’s reading time and activities.
- Select which reading challenge is best for you (you can only choose one).
- Start logging points by reading and completing the activities listed in your challenge. For each level you complete, you will earn a prize and/or a chance to win drawing prizes. (CADL)

Enter to Win A Digital Device
This year, kids and teens are facing unique learning challenges that require them to use digital devices for their education. CADL has committed to helping bridge the digital divide locally by giving away a selection of devices. It’s open to kids and teens who are CADL members and who have completed all levels of our 2020 Summer Reading Challenge. A minimum of 20 devices (such as iPads, Chromebooks or other tech gear) will be awarded.
Have some fun looking for shapes in the world around you. Share you pictures and you could win a prize. Head here for details.
