Byron Bank Robber Escapes On Bicycle

A man robbed a Chase Bank branch in Byron last week, and managed to get away with cash -- on a bicycle.

The village of Byron collapsed its police force earlier this year, making the decision to farm out coverage to nearby Durand just earlier this month, according to Durand Now; perhaps the man was testing the department's response time.

It turns out, he got away.  Temporarily.

He was found 40 miles away, in White Lake, about 11 hours later.
