Where Are the Fairs This Week in Mid-Michigan

There are two fairs in our area kicking off this week in the Shiawasse & Jackson County Fairs.

First the Shiawasse County Fair which is happening, Monday, Aug. 6 - Saturday, Aug. 12 at the fairgrounds on Hibbard Rd. in Corunna.

Tickets are $3 for Adults and $2 for Children (Children under 5 are Free), Plus Seniors are $2, and they have deals for families as well.
Some of their Grandstand Attractions are; Super Kicker Rodeo, Flat Track Motorcycle Racing, and Monster Trucks. Tickets for the Grandstand are $10 for Adults and $5 for Children (Thursday Grandstand is Free)
They will also be having Royal Bengal Tiger Show running multiple times a day.
Wednesday is Seniors Day, Thursday is Kids Day.
2017 Ride Schedule:
Monday.............Carnival Opens at 5 PM - Tickets only until closing
Tuesday.............$20 Armbands - 1 PM to 11 PM - DOLLAR DAZE
Wednesday.......$20 Armbands - 1 PM to 11 PM
Thursday...........Kids Day - $15 Armbands - Noon to 11 PM- DOLLAR DAZE
Friday................$20 Armbands - 1 PM to 11 PM
Saturday............$20 Armbands - 1 PM to 11 PM

Next is the Jackson County Fair, running Sunday, Aug. 6 through Saturday, Aug. 12th at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, 200 W. Ganson St.

$5 for adults, $2 for kids 6 to 10 and free for kids 5 and younger. Exceptions are on Sunday ($3 for adults, $1 for children), Monday (seniors 65 and older get in free), Tuesday ($2 for everybody), Thursday (Veterans get in free Thursday and Friday) and Saturday Kids Under 10 are free. Parking is $5
Ride wristbands cost $25. You have to ask about individual ride prices as they don't have that as of this article.
No Monster Trucks this year but The Impractical Jokers staring The Tenderloins open up the week with a comedy show Sunday night. Stone Sour, Skillet and Alter Bridge follow with a rock show on Monday. Tuesday night features Flo Rida and special guest Macy Kate. The final major show features a trio of country music acts, Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw and Mark Chesnutt.
