What You Need to View The Total Solar Eclipse
The total solar eclipse is only about a month away, August 21st, but there are somethings you need to know before looking at it.
First, here in the Mid-Michigan area we only have about a 70% view of the eclipse but the more south you go (best view might be near the Michigan-Indiana border) the better the viewing will be.
Next, you may also want to get solar eclipse viewing glasses. These are special disposable glasses that have extremely dark lenses. These lenses also allow you to view the Eclipse without hurting your eyes. The glasses are cheap and are sold at any planetarium in Michigan.
