Watch Out: Michigan Could Be Facing A Toilet Paper Shortage This Month
Oh man, this could be a crappy situation real quick. You'll have nothing to whip it up with either. Not with the possible shortage that is coming to Michigan.
Why?
Because Michigan’s on the verge of a possible shortage. That’s right, another wave of panic buying is creeping in. People are flooding the stores, clearing out shelves like it’s the end of the world, and just like that—you're out of luck. Anyone else getting 2020 flashbacks?
Michigan Could Face Toilet Paper Shortage
Oh man, here we go again—possible toilet paper shortages hitting Michigan, and it’s giving everyone some serious flashbacks to the pandemic era.

But guess what?
It’s not because of a big port strike that happened this week. Although, it does play some part in it.
It’s actually because of good ol' panic buying. People are flooding stores, snatching up toilet paper like it's the last roll on Earth, and now shelves are starting to look bare.
Target Launching New Policies
Social media's been buzzing, with posts showing empty aisles where TP and, to a lesser degree, paper towels should be. But here's the kicker—the port strike that’s affecting areas from Maine to Texas? It’s got absolutely nothing to do with the supply of toilet paper.
Don't Worry! We're Gonna Be Alright!
Here’s why: Over 90% of the toilet paper we use in the U.S. comes from factories right here at home.
The rest? Mostly from Canada and Mexico, meaning it’s getting here by rail or truck—not ships. So, if anything, the strike is more likely to mess with exports than with what’s showing up in stores.
Ironically, instead of a shortage, the strike could lead to an overflow of toilet paper since shipments bound for foreign markets might be stuck.
So, the real problem isn’t supply—it’s panic buying! People are just grabbing more than they need, making this situation feel way worse than it actually is.
