A company with the perfect name has just made a venture surrounding the future of Hell, Michigan, that won't soon be forgotten.

HELL Energy Drink, a beverage company that is based out of Hungary, responded after learning that the popular Livingston County tourist destination was put up for sale.

Why Hell, Michigan Is for Sale

The seven-acre property is listed for $625,000. It includes two buildings, a retail store that remains open and a miniature golf course.

HELL Energy Drink Offers 666,666 Cans

Rather than sending over a traditional offer, HELL Energy Drink leaned into the community's name and offered to pay with 666,666 cans of its product. Company officials say that the cans could be worth roughly $41,666 more than the current asking price.

A Special Delivery Arrives in Hell

The company also shipped 165 cans to the Hell General Store, representing each year the community has carried the name Hell since 1841. Officials believe those may be the first cans of the Hungarian drink to officially make it to Hell.

The shipment arrived with a letter from what the company jokingly called its "Department of Unsolicited Offers."

The Six-Minute Emergency Board Meeting

HELL's development and strategy director, Thomas Grosch, said he tried calling the general store several times from Hungary to explain what was happening. The connection was apparently so rough that someone at the store eventually asked whether he needed them to call 911.

Despite all the attention, the company admitted it was not actually prepared to purchase the property.

The mock emergency board meeting reportedly lasted six minutes and six seconds before leaders decided owning one HELL brand in Europe was enough responsibility.

The unusual offer comes as people connected to Hell wait to see who may eventually purchase the property and what a sale could mean for the longtime Michigan attraction.
