So you did your civic duty. You voted.  If you got an email from this guy, then chances are you voted early (and live in Lansing).

This dapper young fella in the bow tie is none other than Lansing City Clerk Chris Swope.

I want to let you know that we received your Absent Voter Ballot on (they'll put the date and time here). Thank you for voting! Your signature on the envelope has been verified. We will open and count your ballot on Election Day.

You may have received an email and or a text message about TrackMIBallot. These are legitimate messages, but note that that system only uses postal scans, so would not show any drop box or in person ballot return. Also, sometimes the post office delivers mail without scanning it, so the mail tracking is not 100%.
