There’s A New Radio Station for Lansing Lugnuts Play-by-Play
We made the big announcement on Wednesday morning at 8:10: Lansing Lugnuts and Townsquare Media have forged a new partnership, and that means a brand new radio home for Lugnuts play-by-play.
Lugnuts fans will find the majority of games broadcast on the new flagship station, Lansing's Sports Talk Leader, The Game 730 AM (WVFN). All games will be streamed live.
Josh Strickland was joined by Lansing Lugnuts General Manager, Nick Grueser, and Lugnuts' lead play-by-play announcer, Jesse Goldberg-Strassler, for the announcement.
Goldberg-Strassler, who was voted Midwest League Broadcaster of the Year by his peers in 2013, is back for his ninth season.
The Lansing Lugnuts, Class A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, will open the season at home on April 8th, and all of Lansing's Townsquare Media radio stations will be there; 94.9 WMMQ, 1240 WJIM-AM, 99.1 WFMK, 100.7 WITL and 97.5 NOW FM.
