This weekend is an opportunity to potentially add a new fur baby to your family, with The Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter's Adopt-A-Fest! It all begins tomorrow (Friday), June 12th at 1 p.m. at the Potter Park Zoo. This amazing event goes until 7 p.m. on Saturday; a 30 hour event in which the Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter hopes to get over 100 animals adopted!

This 30-Hour Marathon Adoption Event is the biggest event in terms of helping to find Mid-Michigan's homeless animals their fur-ever homes! And I'd like to encourage and invite everyone to come out to this wonderful event! This is a great way to help control the expanding homeless animal population and give a loving home to those animals in need. After all, dogs are a man's best friend! Dogs aren't the only animals up for adoption though... Both dogs and cats will be hanging out at the Potter Park Zoo waiting to meet you! And adoption fees are as low as $30 for dogs and $10 for cats.

Throughout Friday and Saturday there will be TONS of fun activities as well. There will be a bounce house for kids on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and throughout the events' entirety there will be a bake sale, free dog massages, and a pet photo booth! I'm going to be out there broadcasting live on Saturday from 10 a.m. to Noon hanging out, handing out plenty of 97.5 swag,  and all while petting the adorable cats and dogs that are up for adoption!

You can get more info about this 30-hour adoption event by going HERE. I hope to see you out at the Potter Park Zoo this Saturday!
