You know how disappointing it is when a fast food giant releases a new menu item that looks and sounds amazing, but does not release it nationwide? I am sure you do. That was the case when Taco Bell opted in on the chicken sandwich wars and introduced a Crispy Chicken Sandwich of their own. Unfortunately at the time it was not available in Michigan - but it is now.

Starting today, Thursday, September 2nd, Michiganders can now see (or should I say taste) what the hype was all about. I called four area Taco Bell restaurants myself to confirm this. I have one hundred percent confirmation from Taco Bell on Hill Road in Grand Blanc, and the Taco Bell in Linden - they both are serving the new sandwiches. Guests can choose spicy or crispy.

I also called Taco Bell in Fenton, and the Taco Bell on Fenton Road in Flint. There was no answer at either, but I am confident they are available at both places as well. It's nationwide baby! As for not answering the phone, I get it. You and I both know the service industry is struggling due to lack of staff. Trust me, I would rather have them making food for customers rather than answering the phone. I bet they are bus AF making Crispy Chicken Sandwiches.

If I had to put money on the chicken sandwich wars, my money would be on Popeye's. Their chicken sandwich is the bomb. However, I have not yet tried Taco Bell's version - but I will be very soon.

If you try one, let me know what you think.
