Each year thousands and thousands of people head north to Mackinaw City for one major yearly annual event, walking across the beautiful Mackinac Bridge.

For years I've always wanted to walk across the "Mighty Mac" just to say I did it and most of all, the scenic view from the bridge would be absolutely spectacular.

My wife and i were recently in Mackinaw City enjoying everything from shopping, eating fudge, going for walks along the beach, and driving across the massive Mackinac Bridge.

Just to be able to walk across the bridge would be worth the trip back up to Mackinaw City.

The actual event starts at 7 a.m. on Monday, which is Labor Day. And by the way, due to the large crowds that will be there, the CDC is recommending that walkers wear their masks while walking the Mackinac Bridge.

According to mackinacbridge.org:

There is no fee or registration required to participate in the walk. The walk begins at 7 a.m. You may start walking any time after the governor's party starts the walk at approximately 7 a.m. No one will be permitted to start after 11:30 a.m., so make sure you arrive early.

This sounds like so much fun to me. I think this is how I would do the walk across the Mackinac Bridge.

I would start my walk from Mackinac City and walk to the halfway point of the bridge and then I would turn around and go back to Mackinaw City. Once I make it back, I would go straight to the nearest Mackinaw City fudge shop and order several pieces of fudge. The whole thing should end on a good note, treat yourself to a slice of fudge.
