PLEASE TAKE OUR POLL AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS BLOG TO LET US KNOW IF YOU RECLINE OR DECLINE.

We've all been there. On a plane. Shrinking seats and legroom. The person in front of you reclines their seat. Sometimes at the most inopportune time. It can be annoying, uncomfortable, and rude at times. Sometimes, you might be eating or using your tray table for something and bam! Someone's in your lap. And nowhere is this more annoying or an inconvenience than when you're stuck in the back of a plane, YOUR seat can't recline, you've got that smell from the lavatory, and the person in front of you reclines.

That's the story here. And we've even got video.

And now, the woman in the seat in from of this dude is getting ready to sue.

An American Airlines passenger is preparing to sue the company for allegedly slandering her over a viral seat reclining incident.

Per TMZ, Wendi Williams met with her attorneys to discuss a possible defamation lawsuit against American Airlines. Williams claims that the story the airlines released regarding a disagreement over her reclined seat is false. (Complex)

American Airlines told TMZ:

Williams reclined her seat, causing the man to spill his drink. This prompted the flight attendant to replace his beverage in hopes to defuse the situation. That didn't seem to calm either party as the man continued to punch the back of her seat and Williams insisted he was getting preferential treatment by receiving a new drink. (Complex)

Now we officially have #reclinegate, and we have to take a look at recline etiquette. With our first official word on said etiquette and the ensuing outrage at his suggestion, Delta CEO Ed Bastian.

When on a plane and you want to recline your seat, are you going to ask permission from the person behind you before you do so? Because I'm thinking people are gonna deny you no matter what. Or is it on the person behind the recliner to ask them not to recline? Can you even ask that? I mean they paid for the seat. Or does this fall on the airlines? Please take our poll below and let us know what you think.
