Common Ground Music Festival kicks off tonight, June 27th, and runs all weekend so if you are going here are some last minute notes. If you are driving to downtown Lansing there are some notes to know about like Parking, road closures, and other events happening around Common Ground.

First, there are going to be some road closures all around downtown and the area around Adado Riverfront Park. Some of the road closures are;

  • Grand Avenue between Shiawassee Street and Saginaw Street, closed until Tuesday
  • One westbound lane on Shiawassee Street between Grand Avenue and Cedar Street, also will be closed until Tuesday
  • Grand Avenue will be reduced to two lanes between Ionia Street and Shiawassee Street, if you are going Northbound there will be no interruptions.

Next parking is usually an issue downtown as well for Common Ground. If you are parking you can use parking ramps around Adado Riverfront Park for $15 a day, see where here. If you are parking at LCC parking structure the road in front will be closed so you will follow Saginaw Street east to Grand Avenue, and then south on Grand Avenue which will lead to the parking structure.

Finally, Common Ground will be opening its gates at 4pm on Thursday and Friday and 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. The concert will end around midnight and gates will close at 9:30pm, so don't show up late if you have tickets.

You can still get tickets and get more on Common Ground here.
