Places Not To Park Your Truck – THE GRAND RIVER

Please DON'T DRINK & DRIVE. Because you might think that driving into the Grand River is a good idea. Sidebar, it's not.

A man is recovering in the hospital after police say he nearly crashed his truck into the Grand River in Lansing.

The Lansing Police Department responded to a report of an accident on East Willow Street right around midnight Tuesday.

Police say the man's truck crashed into a parked vehicle before driving into a barrier at the dead end of East Willow Street, just east of North Washington Avenue. (WILX)

After all that, the truck went over a barrier and almost in the Grand River. LPD believe drugs AND alcohol may be involved and will be pursuing charges against the man.

This comes on the heels of another fatal crash that happened this past weekend. Alcohol is believed to be involved in the death of now two people (a mother and her 3 year old child). The father is still hospitalized.
