There is a new law that was just introduced in the Michigan House that would lower Michigan's Blood-Alcohol concentration to curb drunk driving. The new law, which if it is voted in, would lower Michigan's BAC from .08 to .05. This law would make Michigan like Utah's new BAC law which was introduced in December as they lower their BAC to .05.

The law which has support in the Michigan House, since it was proposed by Democrats, and it also has support from Mothers Against Drunk Driving. MAAD is in support as they say that critical driving skills are impaired at a BAC of 0.05 or higher, so lowering it will help with having less drunk driving accidents.
