More New Construction Coming To Jackson

Last week Jackson just approved a new apartment/retail space and now another major construction project in Jackson County is moving forward.

Jackson County and American 1 Credit Union are working together to bring a new convention center to downtown Jackson. The convention center will replace a large parking lot at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.

Some of their plans are still in the works but American 1 but announced on Friday that they are getting funding from Jackson County. Some of what we know about the American 1 Convention Center is that it can hold 500 people, looking to hold higher end events, will have catering and kitchen services. Full story from WLNS here.
