There have been a lot of automobile recalls lately and this new one is from Honda due to an airbag issue. According to WLNS, the issue from a type of Takata air bag inflator once thought to be safe but after issues has been recalled. Takata and the airbag has now come under scrutiny after there was a crash in Maryland by an older Honda minivan which cause an explosion and an injury to the driver.

Because of the event above Honda has had to recall 1.2 million vehicles in North and Central America from the 2001 to 2016 model years. Now this recall is different from the one a couple of month ago for Takata air bags that can hurl shrapnel into the passenger compartment.
