Michigan City Ranked Best Summer Travel Destination in the Entire U.S.
It's almost summer! And luckily, here in Michigan, we don't have to travel far to get to some awesome vacation spots.
One Michigan spot is getting national attention as the top place to visit in summertime in the entire country!
USA Today and 10Best's travel editors teamed up with a panel of experts to choose 20 must-see places for a summer vacation, and then it was put up to a public vote!
Mackinac Island has nabbed the No. 1 spot for "Favorite Summer Travel Destination in the U.S. " in a USA Today and 10Best poll.
Mackinac Island was the ONLY Michigan location in the contest (Now I don't necessarily agree with that - How about Traverse City, South Haven, Grand Haven?) There were some other spots in the Midwest in the running though: Chicago; Door County, Wisconsin; Hocking Hills, Ohio.
