Fans of Mac Miller plan to gather and celebrate the late rapper's life one year after he passed away.

On Sunday night (July 28), a tweet from Mac Miller fan Twitter account The Mac Miller Memoir listed an event that will honor Miller's life on Sept. 7, which marks the one-year anniversary of the day Miller was found dead of a drug overdose in his home. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the celebration will take place at Blue Slide Park, which is the park Mac spent a lot of time at as a kid. Later on, Miller used the park's name as the title for his 2011 debut album via Rostrum Records.

The upcoming celebration of Mac Miller is set to feature plenty of memorable songs and music videos from the late rapper and will last from 12 p.m. "until whenever." The tweet nor the Facebook event have listed any special guests that may pull up to honor Mac.

There aren't too many details on the celebration, but there will be music and videos played at the gathering.

Before his death, Mac Miller inspired plenty of fans and fellow artists alike with his combination of technical skill, stylistic versatility and the passion of a lifelong craftsman. When you combine that with a personality that has been spoken of in positive terms before and after his passing, it's clear why the rapper was so beloved.
