Talk about things you don't see at a KFC that often

You would probably liken this to a prison break or one of the inmates busting out of the asylum.

But as tasty as the chicken is at KFC, they are not known for having chicken coops or live chickens at the restaurants at all.

So when someone saw a LIVE chicken hanging out around the KFC in Midland, they knew something was up and called the authorities.

You can blame all the chicken puns on the cops.

Upon arriving on the scene and taking (rescuing) the chicken into custody, they proceeded to have some fun while trying to find the bird's rightful owner.

!!! BREAKING !!!! FOWLONY SUSPECT IN CUSTODY !!!

Thanks to Officer Pomranky’s lightning fast reflexes, he was able to capture the suspect before it crossed the road.

It was later determined the suspect was wanted in several states across the Midwest Region for similar fowlony crimes. (MPDM)

The comments from the Facebook post are just as hilarious. Someone asked to see bodycam footage of the chase and capture.

Thankfully the Midland Police Department has a great sense of humor and helped get this chicken back home.

The last place a chicken ever wants to get lost is at a KFC. If they invite you in to check out their secret 11 herbs and spices, we're pretty sure you're not coming out of there alive my friend.

Also, running from the cops like that you're lucky you didn't get tased. You could have gone from lucky to crispy relatively quickly.
