Ok, I am guilty of not going to church every Sunday. I guess we all are.  I look at it this way. I talk to God often, I am a good person and try to help others the best I can.  I was raised Catholic, but have gone to various bible-based churches over the years. I must admit have taken a liking to Lutheran churches.

I do read a bit of the bible often and I think we just need to pick a church we like, that we feel comfortable in, and is right for you.  With all the crazy things going on these days in the world I think it may be a good time for me to start going every Sunday again,

Many Churches Have Closed Over The Years

I was surprised to hear about 70 thousand churches have closed their doors in the last 10 years or so. Makes me sad to think about that. Well according to wilx.com there is a church still going strong 150 years.

We celebrate the 150 years, we celebrate the body coming together,” said Pastor Foerster with the Immanuel Lutheran Church. He says the secret to staying open for 150 years is having dedicated members. I think to have been around for 150 years is certainly a testament to people's commitment and dedication but I think it’s even more than that I think it’s God's way of saying there is still something to be done here.

Well said indeed.  Just moving here a year ago this sounds like the next church I would like to visit and be a part of.  Congratulations to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grand Ledge.

Going To Church Has Dropped Over The Years

Supposedly visiting Michigan Churchs has dropped 25% in the last 10 years or so. I think many folks including myself would like to see that turned around.  You just may be seeing me soon at this special church in Grand Ledge.
