Why?

It turns out that part of the production didn’t complete its High Pressure Processing (HPP) treatment. That process is crucial because it extends shelf life and reduces the risk of nasty pathogens like Salmonella, Listeria, and certain types of E. coli. And we all know, those can lead to serious illness if consumed.

Luckily, there have been no reports of illness tied to these juices so far. But if you’ve got one of these bottles hanging out in your fridge, it’s better to play it safe.

Here’s what you need to look for:

  • Happy Moose Tropical Roots Juice, 12 fl. oz. (UPC: 860012096503, Enjoy By 12/02/2024)
  • Happy Moose Strawberry Fields Juice, 12 fl. oz. (UPC: 866175000388, Enjoy By 12/02/2024)

Both were sold in 12 oz. RPET plastic bottles and shipped in 9-count corrugated boxes. The Enjoy By date is located just below the label on the bottle.

The recall was triggered after some spoiled juice complaints came in, so if you’ve got these flavors, go ahead and return them to where you bought them for a full refund.

If you’ve got any questions, you can reach the company at 559-797-0252 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST.
