Jackson Animal Shelter Doing “Pets For Vets”

With Memorial Day coming up, a Jackson Animal Shelter is doing their part in helping Veterans with a "Pets For Vets" event. According to WILX, Jackson's Friends of the Animals announced it is sponsoring the "Pets for Jackson County Veterans." The event is going on now and running through June 15th. The Jackson County Animal Shelter (3370 Spring Arbor Road) they are open Mon - Fri from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

During May 20th from June 15th,  Veterans can visit the Jackson County Animal Shelter and choose an animal to take home as a pet. With the event being sponsored, pet adoption fees will be covered so Veterans can just enjoy their new family and friend. Also all pets that are going to be adopted during this event will have their shots as well as well as spayed or neutered.
