Photos: Horrocks Farm Market Is Beyond Ridiculously Huge

It is an institution. There is not another farm market like it that I have ever seen before. I have driven by it a million times. When I used to visit friends here in Lansing before I moved here. And when I drove by it on my way up to Central and to Grand Rapids.

The one and only Horrocks Farm Market.

I have been a Lansing resident for about 3 years now. I have visited this place about 3 or 4 times. And I discover something new every time.

This past weekend I kid you not. I just found the refrigerated section. Where all the milk and other dairy products are. I found the cheese section one time and I thought that was it. You gotta go up that ramp towards the wine section. And over to the back there's the dairy section. And back behind it is the meat department.

This place is too big for words and borders on the ridiculous but in that good way.

I stopped by Saturday because I was at the Kohl's in Delta Township and I went exploring. I had been there before searching for elusive morels and found some. But to be truthful, your first trip into Horrocks without someone to guide you or fill you in will be  beyond overwhelming.

I have talked about my love for QD'S famous chip dip but did not know that Horrocks has a whole dip section.

And in case you were looking for a new taste sensation, might I suggest this stuff.
