Looking at my watch and my calendar it's about that time. Honestly, we've been spoiled and it's been warm for quite a while. As a matter of fact warmer than it was last September. Scratch that. Make that the warmest SEPTEMBER ON RECORD. And each year it keeps getting hotter in the fall.

Earth sweltered to a record hot September last month, with U.S. climate officials saying there’s nearly a two-to-one chance that 2020 will end up as the globe’s hottest year on record.

Earth has had 44 straight Septembers where it has been warmer than the 20th century average and 429 straight months without a cooler than normal month, according to NOAA. The hottest seven Septembers on record have been the last seven.(AP)

Folks still don't believe in global warming/climate change. Those fires and hurricanes just happen to be coincidence. Right?

I didn't come here to give you an environmental tongue lashing. We've got a freeze warning on the way to cool us off as we head into the later half of October.

We've got a freeze warning in effect from 2 am to 9 am early Friday morning. With temperatures dipping down in between 28 and 32 degrees. Our friends over at WILX call those SUB-FREEZING temperatures.

When I used to live down south and there was chance of frost I always remember folks saying to "cover your tamaters' (tomatoes)".

Bust out the ice scrapers.

And I'm mad at you folks with auto-starts.
