Drive-Thru Fair Food At Jackson County Fairgrounds This Weekend
Throughout the summer, while we could not make it out to all the rides, food and fun that goes into fair season, local fairgrounds have still found a way to bring us all our favorite foods.
Now, while summer is on its way out, the Jackson County Fair is still bringing the drive-through fair food to the people!
It's a good thing we are creeping up on sweater season because we are moving from one type of fried favorites to another (cider and donuts, anyone?) because we don't need to worry about swimsuit season anymore.
According to a Facebook post on the fair's page about the event, there will be a variety of foods from our beloved fried favorites like elephant ears, fries, cheese curds and onion rings to Mexican food and more.
See for yourself!
Personally, I have not been able to make it to the many fair food rallies around the area this summer because for some reason a summer that on-paper would not look like it would be busy was suddenly filled with tons of last-minute activities. I have been craving elephant ears and/or funnel cakes like no other and while I know they have kits you can use to make them yourself, it's so much more special when someone in a food truck makes them for you!
If you are like me then you can go on out to the Jackson County Fairgrounds located at 200 W Ganson St. in Jackson this Friday and Saturday (September 18th and 19th).
Admission was free for previous events so we assume it is that way this time around though they do note you should make sure to have cash on you as the event is cash-only!
Friday they will be having the fair food from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
If you are still craving fries after this weekend, here's where to get some of the best fries in Lansing:
