The New Spot In Frandor That Makes Really Big and Delicious Corned Beef Sandwiches

The guy behind the counter looked at me when I said I wanted the "Mr. Corned Beef (Extra Large)".

"That's a lot man. A full pound on a sandwich. You ready to eat all that?"

I'm already in love with this new spot.

I'm not a corned beef connoisseur, but I know my way around a sandwich.

You can get a pretty decent corned beef sandwich all over town.

I do love the folks over at Stateside Deli in Okemos.

And I've had more than my share of good ones from Dan's Coney Island in Lansing.

Not pictured but definitely in my top five is also the PORK BELLY REUBEN from Meat in Old Town.

Now I have another favorite and it's conveniently located in Frandor. They just opened in June so they're new to Lansing, but they've been a Detroit staple for a while.

Meet (or should I say meat) Mr. Corned Beef.

They are located right on the corner of Sellers and Clippert. So once you get through all the construction...

You'll see them right next to Liberty Tax.

You can eat your giant sandwich there or take it to go.

Peep the menu. They have A LOT.

The reason I like these guys is because they totally remind me of a Detroit corned beef joint.

You can get crazy desserts.

Cake.

Ice cream...

Man, they even have banana pudding in the cold case to go.

Great staff, great food, some really nice folks. And I know they've got stores in Detroit, but this is a local Michigan based business.

I just have to give you the warning, if you get one of these sandwiches for lunch, you're in danger. They are big and tasty. Made to order. You will have a food baby and go into a food coma after you eat one.

They are tender and delicious. But dangerous (in that good way). You have been warned.

Go get one. Or split one with somebody.
