Celebrate Black History Month w/Capital Area District Libraries
February is Black History Month and our friends at Capital Area District Libraries will be celebrating all month long with a variety of free, virtual events for you and the family.
From amazing podcasts via CADL CAST, virtual story times, virtual meet and greets with some amazing African American authors and more.

CADL CAST Podcast:
Marlon Riggs’ 1991 documentary Color Adjustment scrutinized race relations and the representation of African Americans through the lens of prime-time television. Dr. Julian C. Chambliss from Michigan State University joins us to discuss what has changed—and what has not. Our guest host is Lansing Township

There will be a Black History Month Virtual Storytime Series for ages up to 6, a BHM Virtual Event where you can meet and talk to award winning author Beverly Jenkins (pre-register for this one), a BHM Online Trivia Challenge for teens and adults (register for this one too), and more.
These events will be happening all month. There's something for everyone in the family, the events are virtual, and free.
