There are a rash of break-ins in southern Ingham County and it's making police remind citizens to lock their doors

According to Ingham County Sheriff Lt. Greg Harris, there have been more than a dozen break-ins have been reported over the past several weeks, many of them involving outbuildings.

The burglaries have been mostly seen in Vevay Township, but break-ins have also reported in other areas near it, so police are trying to figure out if they are related.

Some things to keep an eye on is if you see any cars driving slowly or if an unknown car is parked near or on your property. If you see anything like that or have any information call the sheriff's department at 676-2431
