What To Do This Weekend in Mid-Michigan
Friday might be a messy night but it will bring sunshine through most of Saturday and Sunday, so let's see what Mid-Michigan has to offer.
First, Friday night its Arts Night Out in Old Town, it starts at 5pm through 8pm, its when the shops in Old Town Lansing transform into arts galleries and exhibits. More about it here.
Next, the Eaton County Fair, running daily through Saturday July 15th, at Eaton County Fairgrounds (1025 S. Cochran Charlotte, MI). The Fair has tractor and truck pulls, motor-cross races or demolition derbies, plus more here.
In addition, this weekend Oars and Ales on Sunday July 16th. Lansing Brewing Company and River Town Adventures are partnering to take participants on a 2 hour kayaking trip along the Red Cedar River. More about it and how to register here.
On Friday and Saturday its The Greater Lansing Women's EXPO at the Summit (or The Summit Sports and Ice Complex, 9410 Davis Hwy) it will celebrate women of all ages and have speakers as well as shopping, health care,community resources, and over $3000 in door prizes. Friday (4P-9P) and Saturday (10A-9P).
Also there are two big races this weekend, with Ele's Race Saturday at 8A, at Jackson National Life Insurance Company Headquarters. Okemos Road just south of I-96 exit 110. More about how to see and also donate to Ele's Place is here.
