This weekend, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be doing some concrete repair on the northbound US-127 side, between I-496 and Lake Lansing Rd., in Lansing. The problem with this is that they will have to close down the stretch of US-127 all weekend cause of it.

The closure is expected to start at 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, and continue until 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 14. All work is weather dependent so if it rains this will be put off for another weekend.

Because of the construction this weekend, northbound US-127 is closed, the detour will direct motorists to westbound I-496 to northbound I-96, to eastbound I-69, back to northbound US-127. This is leaving some motorists to think about their travel plans in advance so you don't get caught in any traffic, check out what they had to say here.
