About a month and a half ago, Drew Taylor wrote a blog that talked about a new pizza place opening up in Old Town Lansing called The Cosmos. So obviously I was salivating. Especially after watching the video that actually SHOWED them making pizza, I couldn't wait for them to open! And today I finally got the chance to try them out! Allow me to paint you a word picture (while also using actual picture pictures, lol).

Matthew and I split some duck fat fries, the "Trust Me" pizza of the day, and the best doughnuts I've ever eaten in my life.

The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the duck fat. OMG with the duck fat, so succulent.

The pizza, cooked in a wood-fired oven, was crazy cool...it had tomatoes, thick cut pepperoni, sauteed onions and kind of sweet and smoky cream sauce.

The doughnuts were little heavenly versions of elephant ears, but about a 1,000 times better. Everything was enjoyable, and not just the food!

The whole ambiance was awesome too because it was chill and retro. They had a HUGE mural along the walls of a galactic fight scene and all the tables were covered in old sci-fi movie posters. Everything was so unique that we spent a lot of time just looking at stuff!

We will definitely be back. Perhaps my words have inspired you to try something local and show why you #LoveLansing, you can check out everything The Cosmos has to offer on their Facebook page. If you try it out, let me know what you think!
