The recall was a voluntary one, due to mislabeling information on some of its smaller and individual packaging.
What Products Are Being Recalled?
The recall affects the Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches, due to mislabeling as the cheese version. This particular recall could be more concerning to those who are allergic to peanuts, especially. Even just a small amount of contamination can cause a serious, dangerous reaction. You may not know what you just ate before it's too late.
Here is what to look for on the packaging to see if you are possibly connected to this recall.
The 8, 20, and 40 count boxes of Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches, also the Ritz Filled Cracker Sandwich Variety Packs in the 20-count size, are all facing recall here in Michigan. The boxes themselves will have the correct labeling saying that they contain peanuts, but the individual wrappers will say they contain cheese, when they may actually be the peanut butter ones.
How to Identify Affected Products
The recalled products have best-by dates from November 1-9, 2025, as well as January 2-22nd, 2026. The UPC number will be 0 44000 00211 4.
Why This Recall Matters for Allergy Sufferers
No illnesses have been directly reported relating back to this product; however, if you do have this product inside of your pantry, you're being urged not to consume the product.
Contact Info and Refund Instructions
You can return them for a full refund to the store you purchased them from, or simply toss them. You can also reach out to Mondelez at 1-844-366-1171 anytime, as the company is available 24/7.
Always double-check the labeling on your snacks, especially if you have any serious food allergies. If you don't have any allergies, you might get a bit of a surprise before biting into one of your Ritz snacks.
