Receiving The COVID-19 Vaccine At Ford Field

I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous to get my COVID-19 vaccine this week after Johnson & Johnson put a pause on their vaccine.

Even though I was going to be receiving the Pfizer vaccine, my brain was still panicking. Plus, I'm not a fan of needles. Hey, it happens. I'm human, I'm going to worry about things.

I signed up on Meijer's website for both Ingham county and Ford Field. It just so happened that Ford Field's vaccination center got back to me sooner.

Once I signed up, I received a text a couple of days later to set up a vaccination time. It was pretty quick and easy to set up too. They ask you to fill out a questionnaire, which you can fill out at Ford Field, but it's faster to do it in advance.

My first COVID-19 vaccine was on Wednesday, April 14 and the entire process was pretty quick. I was only there for about an hour. When you get to the field you'll be shown where to park, the parking is free.

You'll wait in line and have your temperature taken and then you'll head to the vaccine registration line where you'll check in with someone. Then you'll be sent to another waiting area where you'll receive your vaccine.

The vaccine process was pretty quick, you give them your name and date of birth for your vaccination card and then you'll get your vaccine. Afterwards you're asked to wait for 15 minutes in a separate waiting area to make sure you don't have any reactions.

Besides being a bit lethargic and having a headache, my symptoms were pretty minor the day of. The following day I was still pretty sluggish but my headache was worse. It honestly felt like a mini Mike Tyson was bouncing around using my brain as a punching bag. I still have a bit of a headache today but the lethargy has gone away.
