People. We've been over and over this, this summer especially. Do not leave your animals in a car while you "RUN IN" a store to do some quick shopping. (Also, it should go without saying, but the same goes for your children.) It gets INSANELY hot, very quick.

It can take as little as 10 minutes on a hot day for an animal to succumb to the heat in a car. Please do not do it. Please, PLEASE do not do it. Just leave your animal at home that day.

Otherwise, someone like Sarah Worden could come along. She found a puppy that was trapped in a car in a parking lot in Nevada. IN NEVADA! IN JULY! And promptly called Animal Control to rescue the poor dog.

So, people. Do not leave your animals in your car this summer. Or we'll bust the windows out.
