Peaches Sold in Michigan Pulled Over Listeria Risk
They may not be currently in season, but a major recall is affecting the state of Michigan, specifically peaches sold in the state. The FDA says that the Moonlight Companies had to pull back a bunch of regular yellow and white peaches of Listeria.
Those peaches were distributed nationwide between September 16th and October 29, 2025.
Which Peaches Are Recalled?
The nationwide means places like Kroger, Walmart, Meijer, Costco, Target, all sold right here in the state of Michigan.
If you are worried you may have the recalled peaches, there are a few things that you can look for. They are the Moonlight peaches, and even some Kroger-labeled yellow peaches. If your package says "Washington" or says that it is organic, it is not apart of this recall.
This was more of a find that was found at the packaging plant, and executed out of safety. Listeria is especially dangerous, and not something that should be taken lightly.
Why Listeria Is Dangerous
Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that sometimes shows up on food plants, and can spread to other foods. Most health people either don't get sick or just feel "flu-ish", with fever muscle aches, tired, and maybe a stomach stuff.

Those who are pregnant, older adults, and those with a weakened immune system can turn into invasive listeriosis, that can lead to meningitis, miscarriage, or hospitalization.
Some symptoms can show up same day, or even days later. So if you believe you may have purchased the lot of effected peaches, it may be in your best interest to toss them, or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
