New Convincing Text Scam Hitting Michigan

These days, they're not just calling either. Now, scammers are sending out fake text messages that look like they’re from the United States Postal Service (USPS).

The message claims there’s a delivery issue or a package waiting for you, complete with a tracking link that looks legitimate. But click that link, and you’re likely to end up on a phishing site designed to steal your personal information.

It's frustrating and alarming to see how sophisticated these scams have become. They know that posing as a trusted service like the USPS will get our attention. But remember, the real USPS won’t ask for your personal information via text.
