This will be a big help for some with summer coming as Michigan's minimum wage is increasing starting on March 29th. The minimum wage will be increased by 20 cents so it will go from $9.25 per hour to $9.45 per hour.

Now not everyone's wage will be increased, as employees between age 16 to 19 will get a 17 cent raise. And their minimum wage will raise from $7.86 per hour to $8.03 per hour. If you are a server or someone that collects tips then you will also get a much needed wage increase but not as much as everyone else, as those employees will get a wage increase to $3.59 from $3.52.

More wage increases are coming in 2020 and 2021, most were approved years ago and now finally will take effect. The next minimum wage increase happens on 1/1/2020 and will see Michigan's min wage go to $9.65 and finally settle at $9.87 in 2021. You can see more on it here.
