Let's be honest, it's not Cedar Point, but it's the next best thing. Especially if you live in places like Holland or Grand Rapids, where going to Cedar Point is a four-hour drive to Ohio.

Is that even worth it?

When Is Michigan’s Adventure Closing?

The biggest theme park in West Michigan, Michigan's Adventure, just made a shocking change for their 2025 season. Michigan's Adventure will be shutting down on September 1st, 2025, which closes things down earlier.

The Michigan amusement park typically stays open through October, thanks to Trick's & Treats Fall Fest, which launched back in 2023. So get ready to ditch those pumpkin patches and those Halloween costumes.

Why Is the Park Ending the Season Early?

The park hasn't officially released the reasoning as to why the park will be closing earlier. However, some suspect that staffing issues, as well as cost-saving perks post-Labor Day slow down hits have caused the early closure.

Some Reddit users have shown some disappointment towards the early closure, especially with the other two closest parks being in Indiana and Ohio.

What Happens to Passholders?

To help alleviate any dislike towards Michigan's Adventure decision, they're offering free Cedar Point tickets, which are redeemable through November 1st, to all affected passholders.

Not many locals are thrilled with the swap of parks, as the four-hour drive doesn't seem worth it to some Michiganders.

Will Tricks & Treats Return?

The park still held its regular Memorial Day through Labor Day schedule; however, many are worried that the behind-the-scenes cuts will cause a downward momentum. There have been no promises made of a 2026 return of their Trick & Treats.
