A Michigan technology company just announced that they were laying off nearly 200 employees at its Wixom, Michigan, location.
Major Michigan Manufacturer Announces Massive Layoffs
Tribar Technologies, which is a car automotive and components manufacturer, just announced they would be laying off 188 employees at their Wixom, Michigan, location. The layoffs are expected to start on June 8th of 2025.
This information was released after the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filed the notification with the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Oppurtuniy.
At this point, there is no news as to why the layoffs are happening. But, after some reviews on places like Indeed, their may be some management/workplace culture concerns coming from this location.
Back in 2022, Tribar Technologies faced some backlash for environmental issues, after an incident with a hexavalent chromium release int the Huron River. There are no context whether that previous event is related to any of the upcoming employee lay-offs.
